It’s a Beautiful Day in Our Neighborhood
The Morningside House of Ellicott City isn’t just about assisted living or convenient amenities (though we do that, too!). It’s about building and enjoying a community of neighbors and friends. Looking for smiling faces, chats long into the evening, and the support of people who appreciate you for you?
You’ve come to the right place.

Meet your new neighbors. You’ll find friends gathered in each other’s apartments, our cozy cafe, or our lovely outdoor spaces enjoying lively conversation and camaraderie.
Be independent. Hop on our bus for trips to Old Ellicott City and beyond, and enjoy shopping, restaurants, plays, museums, and more..
Stay connected. Reserve our private dining room for events with friends and family or invite them to our monthly birthday bash with an elegant dinner and show.
Join the Morningside Family. Our team of warm, friendly caregivers build genuine relationships with our residents in assisted living and memory care.
Bring a friend. Our pet-friendly community means you can bring along your best 4-footed friends. Our residents’ dogs and cats bring us joy and companionship.
So pull up a chair, join the fun and discover a whole new zest for life at Morningside House of Ellicott City.

Loving Support For Every Stage
In addition to assisted living, we offer two units for people suffering from memory-related illness so residents can age in place.
Stepping Stones
Is designed to support the beginning- to mid-stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease with a more secure environment where residents can get the focused care they need, with the feel of their traditional Morningside neighborhood. Their friends from Assisted Living are even welcome to come visit!
Memory Care
Focuses on late stage memory-related illness, helping residents get the continuity of care they need to feel safe and comfortable. This smaller, quieter neighborhood is quaint and comfortable, featuring a separate, secure courtyard where residents can safely walk and enjoy the outdoors.
We understand how difficult it is to live with memory-related illness–both for you and for your loved one. That’s why our memory care program is personalized to support the mind, body, and soul of each resident.
